Ashby Blackout Roller Blind

I’m very happy with this purchase! The quality of the roller shade is excellent — the fabric feels sturdy and durable, and the color (grey) looks modern and clean in my room. Installation was simple and straightforward, and the cordless pull-down design works smoothly.

Needed a shade to allow it to partly lower during warm weather when the window AC unit is installed and then lower all the way when it is removed for winter. The hope was to have it completely black out all light and while it does a pretty good job, will still need either a window film or a curtain to obtain complete darkness. It was super easy to install and operate. Seems to be constructed with quality materials and the design is good. I will continue to fight sleeplessness until the lambs no longer need counting, and this helps, but just not the total answer.

They were a little hard for me to install, Took some time to learn how to adjust them. Had to go to U tube video. THey do keep the room dark and block some of the air leaks. I am satisfied with the product.

Got this for my bathroom window that gets direct sunlight in the afternoon and lets in a ton of heat. I apparently didn't measure twice because it was just slightly too large to install inside the window. But that's ok I was able to install right above the window and it works just as well. It was easy enough to install, all hardware was included. It took a little fenagling to get it to connect to the brackets but they ended up popping on. Super smooth operation with pulling down and up. And I love you can position it at pretty much any spot for as much or as little coverage as needed. My only issue is that there is no cord and as a person on the shorter side, I can't actually reach the bottom of the blind easily to pull down. . . have to climb on my toilet right now. . . I may add something on my own to make it easier to reach. I don't have small kids so a cord isn't an issue for me and the convenience of not having to have a step stool would be worth it. Overall though very nice roller shade and I know it will come in super handy next summer.

There’s a very handy adjustment dial to allow the speed of retraction. Why was this thought of decades ago?

This is an excellent pull down screen. The best.

Thia is very easy to install and the perfect size of blind we needed for our bedroom window. Intuitive to put up manually, but the directions are there as a good guide. Lightweight but durable feeling shade. Rolls smoothly. Keeps light out well. Excellent price and is better quality than expected. The smooth finish is easier on the eye than slated blinds, and there’s nothing for my cats to bend!
